Ron Barnes
Mr. Barnes has served as an independent director of the Bank since 2018. He earned his B.S.B.A in marketing management from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Barnes is President and Chief Executive Officer of Coast Electric Power Association which provides power to 80,000 homes and businesses along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He is also actively engaged in numerous professional, community and civic organizations, including Cooperative Energy and the Electric Cooperatives of Mississippi.
Teyona M. Davis, Esq
Ms. Davis is an accomplished attorney and business professional based in Biloxi, MS. Her educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University. Teyona’s diverse skill set, including legal expertise and business acumen, makes her a valuable asset. Mrs. Davis has provided leadership to numerous professional, community and civic organizations.
Padrick D. Dennis
Mr. Dennis has served as an independent director of the Bank since 2018. He earned Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Washington & Lee University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is Vice President of Construction and Operations of Specialty Contractors and Associates, Inc. Mr. Dennis is actively involved in several professional, community and civic organizations.
A. Wes Fulmer
Mr. Fulmer has served as a director of the Bank since 2006. He is Executive Vice President of the Bank and the holding company. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in business administration and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University. He has completed numerous advanced banking courses. Mr. Fulmer began his banking career in 1985 and has been employed with the Bank since 1993. He had held leadership positions in numerous professional, civic and community organizations. He has received local and state recognition for his outstanding leadership.
Liz Corso Joachim, Vice Chair
Mrs. Joachim has served as an independent director of the Bank since 1996. She attended Dominican College and is a graduate of Gulf Park College. She operated a successful retail business prior to assuming executive leadership of Frank P. Corso, Inc., a family-owned wholesale distribution and full line vending company headquartered in Biloxi, MS. Mrs. Joachim has held leadership positions in numerous professional, civic and charitable organizations on the national, state and local levels and his been honored by several organizations for her service.
Jeffrey H. O’Keefe
Mr. O’Keefe has served as an independent director of the Bank since 1986. Mr. O’Keefe earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has been with Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes, Inc. since 1970 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer from 1983 until 2017, at which time he was named Chairman. During his career, he has held leadership positions with a number of professional, community and civic organizations.
Paige Reed Riley
Ms. Riley has served as an independent director of the Bank since 2018. She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College with a concentration in management and marketing. Ms. Riley is the owner of Hillyer House, a local gallery which has been in her family since 1970. Under her leadership, Hillyer House has grown into a nationally recognized, award-winning gallery featuring exception works of art from local, regional and national artists. Ms. Riley has provided leadership to numerous professional, community and civic organizations.
George J. Sliman, III
Mr. Sliman has served as an independent director of the Bank since 2018. He graduated from Springhill College, earned a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and is a retired Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Sliman is currently Director and President of SunStates Holdings, Inc., a privately-held real estate investment company as well as general partner and managing member of several privately-held investment entities. He has held numerous leadership positions with community and civic organizations.
A. Tanner Swetman
Mr. Swetman has served as director of the Bank since 2018. He joined the Bank in 2005, working in various areas and is currently Vice President for Corporate Affairs, where his oversight includes investments, business development and branch administration. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Swetman has completed numerous advanced banking schools as well as the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Development Program. He is actively engaged in numerous community and civic organizations.
Chevis C. Swetman, Chairman
Mr. Swetman has served as a director of the Company since 1984 and of the Bank since 1975. He has served as Chairman of the Company since 1994. Mr. Swetman is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and the Bank and has been employed with the Bank since 1971. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. In addition to his role with the Company, Mr. Swetman has been recognized numerous times for his leadership in professional, civic and community organizations.
